What's the difference between whole and cracked pecans?

Whole nuts are fun to crack and eat. A bit of practice with a nutcracker gives you a satisfying and delicious treat.

Whole nuts also keep their freshness a bit longer when refrigerated or frozen.

Cracked nut shells let you open the nut a bit faster and get to that tasty pecan.

The whole pecan is processed through a cracking machine that breaks the shell without exposing the nut meat.

Cracked pecans should be refrigerated or frozen to maintain orchard freshness.
